WPS Vision

Westfield Public Schools collaborates with our community to provide rigorous, inclusive educational experiences that promote academic, emotional, and social growth to become lifelong learners, and to empower students with knowledge and skills for future success in college and career.

If we design and implement a rigorous instructional program aligned with staff development, then our students will achieve a high level of success as evidenced by multiple measures.

WTA Strategic Initiatives

Plan for and implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

Continue the delivery of the “Signal Success” Curriculum in Grades 9 and 10 and plan for future Grade 11 Expansion.

Expand Instructional Rounds in Education to the full faculty.

Expand access to Title I interventions and supports.

Strengthen our collaboration with community partners to identify career pathway opportunities; to foster increased participation and collaboration on our General and Program Advisory Committees; and to identify additional shadowing, internship, and Co-Op opportunities for our students.

Provide an aligned professional development plan centered on courses prepared and provided by Research for Better Teaching (RBT).

Increase the number of opportunities for students and staff to collaborate outside of the instructional setting.

Develop and sustain relationships with local colleges and universities to provide and expand access to early college and dual enrollment pathways for our students.

Implement the district’s Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Policy.
